The Curly Galbraith Global Memorial Fund  has been established to raise and distribute funds for international humanitarian purposes, and particularly to support AIDS orphans in their quest to pursue advanced education. Since 2011 the Rotary Club of Calgary has raised over $100,000 to support advanced education for AIDS orphans in Uganda.
As of December 2014 we have 12 graduates from education programs ranging from Teaching, Veterinary Assistant, Animal Husbandry, Sales, to Computer Science all gainfully employed. The following is an excerpt from a letter from a graduate:
“attainment of my bachelors degree in Arts and Education has enabled me to get a job teaching and this job has enabled me to meet my daily needs and take care of my family, and meet unexpected circumstances. I intend to identify a needy child and I will contribute half of his/her school fees and buy him/her required scholastic materials.

I have joined the Rotaract club of Kyambogo and I believe that one day I will become a Rotarian.”
